Rosettes and Bridges
This is a small sampling of rosette designs I have used. They are not pre-made. I assemble each rosette right in the soundboard which it is for. I generally like to do something a little different each time, though designs can be repeated if you wish.




Recently, I have preferred to put 12 holes in the bridge tie-block:

Many of
the bridges I make,
especially for classical guitars, have a lip at the bottom to protect
the soundboard from the ends of the strings.
Sometimes I angle the saddle slot to affect the intonation--although the effect is hard to distinguish. Both of these features can be seen in this photograph:
